The Stretchy Tech Team

Rebecca Petrovic is the Strategy Leader for Inclusive Housing and Technology. Joining the team in 2022 after 20 years of working in various areas of State Government, she wanted to explore a different area of the sector and be closer to the outcomes being achieved for people.

Rebecca oversees the tenancy, construction, and renewal work in inhousing as well as the inclusive assistive technology work in Stretchy Tech. She says that Stretchy Tech is different - not only do they create and find amazing technology solutions for people to increase their freedom and independence, they help to make sure that the solution works for them and that it is adapted so that they can use it effectively.

She loves seeing Stretchy Tech's occupational therapists, technicians, and procurement and admin staff work together to remove barriers and find great solutions for customers.

Yasmin shares the important role of Leader of Business Operations at Stretchy Tech with Georgia, working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. From managing day-to-day operations to supporting the tech and occupational therapy (OT) teams, they handle the heavy lifting so their colleagues can focus on creating innovative solutions for customers.

Yasmin joined Stretchy Tech in October 2023, initially stepping in while Georgia was on maternity leave. She saw Stretchy Tech as a team doing something truly unique in the community and wanted to be part of it.  

Yasmin, together with Georgia, oversees projects, improves processes, and maintains strong relationships with external stakeholders. She says Georgia and her now know more about door automation, window blinds, and smart locks than they ever thought possible, but what Yasmin loves most about her job is the team.

For Yasmin, a recent highlight has been expanding her role and supporting the team on a larger scale.  

Outside of work, Yasmin loves planning her next adventure, camping with friends, and hitting the gym. Studying bookkeeping part-time has also been keeping her busy! 

Georgia shares the important role of Leader of Business Operations at Stretchy Tech with Yasmin, working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. From managing day-to-day operations to supporting the tech and occupational therapy (OT) teams, they handle the heavy lifting so their colleagues can focus on creating innovative solutions for customers.

Georgia joined Stretchy Tech in August 2021, bringing her experience in government and startups and a desire to work for an organisation making a real difference. 

Georgia, together with Yasmin, oversees projects, improves processes, and maintains strong relationships with external stakeholders. What stands out most to her in her role is the team and the integrity that her colleagues bring to the solutions they deliver.

For Georgia, a highlight of the past year was returning from maternity leave to see the team again and reconnect with customers.  

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, camping, and visiting the beach. 

Jacqui joined the Stretchy Tech team in 2021, excited by the opportunity to explore how smart home technology can support people to live more independently. She was drawn to Stretchy Tech’s focus on innovation, social impact, and working with a team that puts people with disability at the centre of everything they do.

In her role as an occupational therapist, Jacqui works closely with customers to understand their goals and the barriers they face. She then helps develop personalised technology solutions to support those goals—whether it’s testing different options, supporting funding applications, or putting everything in place once the right solution is found.

What makes her role unique is the close collaboration with Stretchy Tech’s technicians. “I haven’t had an OT role where I’ve been able to work so directly with technical experts,” she says. “It’s great to combine our skills to come up with customised solutions that really work for each individual.”

A recent highlight for Jacqui was helping a customer plan and install several home automation technologies in their brand-new home. She supported the customer from the early planning stages right through to installation. “To see the technology in place and working as expected was such a rewarding moment.”

Outside of work, Jacqui loves spending time with her family, playing tennis, travelling, and enjoying live music at concerts and festivals.

Will Crowe joined the Stretchy Tech team as an occupational therapist in October 2020, after having just completed a research project on ‘the use of smart home equipment for people living in the community over the age of 65.

Seeing the profound impact that smart home equipment could have on people's lives made Will want to continue working in the field. When the opportunity at Stretchy Tech arose, he discovered that he really connected with the ethos and values of the Julia Farr group.

Will’s role involves holistically understanding his clients and their goals, interests, and motivations. He works closely with them to develop personalised digital assistive technology recommendations aimed at enhancing their independence and quality of life in everyday activities.

In addition to performing assessments, Will collaborates with Stretchy Tech’s tech experts to come up with and trial technology-based solutions and, when necessary, write the reports required for funding approval. He also provides ongoing support to customers when they have a longer-term goal that requires a large amount of customised accessibility tailoring.

Will has a particular interest in making mainstream video games as accessible as possible. A customer of his, who experienced a stroke years earlier, has been able to take up their hobby of playing the PlayStation once again with the help of a single-handed controller. It's moments like these that Will relishes.

Will believes that Stretchy Tech has an incredible team of innovative thinkers who are focused on delivering the best outcomes with highly considered technology-based solutions that meet the customer’s specific and unique requirements.

With a two-year-old son, Will’s spare time is at a premium. When he can find time, he enjoys playing a card game called 'Magic the Gathering', playing retro video games, listening to music and enjoying quality time with his growing family and friends. He is also following the rapid advances in artificial intelligence with strong interest and exploring ways in which this amazing technology can be used to assist people with disability.

Kate joined the Stretchy Tech team in 2020, bringing a generalist occupational therapy background and a desire to specialise in one area and do it well.

With a strong  belief in the power of technology to support independence for people with disability, the role at Stretchy Tech was a perfect fit.

As an occupational therapist (OT), Kate works closely with customers to assess and prescribe innovative, customised technology solutions. The role spans the full journey—from initial assessment and assistive technology recommendation, to navigating funding, overseeing installation, and fine-tuning the tech to suit each individual’s needs. A unique part of the role is the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled tech team to explore and trial solutions, making every outcome truly personalised.

Working in a not-for-profit social enterprise adds another layer of meaning. Stretchy Tech values innovation, social impact, and sharing knowledge with the broader community.
What Kate loves most about working at Stretchy Tech is the incredible team culture and the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. One highlight from the past year was supporting a customer to use an eyegaze device to independently play music for the first time in many years. The joy was unmistakable when “Highway to Hell” boomed from the speakers—his smile said it all.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys baking, travelling, water skiing, and cheering on her three children as they dive into a busy schedule of team sports.

Jarrad joined Stretchy Tech in 2020, making the transition from construction to a customer-focused role where he could make a real impact.

As Stretchy Tech's electrician, he’s the one with the tools in hand, ensuring that every job meets electrical safety and compliance standards so that it works seamlessly for customers.

One of the things Jarrad loves most about his role is being part of an organisation that’s always on the cutting edge of inclusive technology. "Stretchy Tech is always at the forefront of the latest and greatest," he says, adding that the team receives the support it needs to keep pushing boundaries.

The diversity within the Stretchy Tech team is another highlight for Jarrad. With expertise across programming, technology, installation, and occupational therapy, the team brings together a wide range of skills that creates solutions you won’t find anywhere else.

Day-to-day, Jarrad works largely with lighting and door automation, as well as smart locks and garage openers, helping to increase customers' independence and control within their homes. His standout project? A recent development in Greenacres, which he describes as a "showcase of inclusive tech" - a strong collaboration that integrates the best products on the market for a truly inclusive setup.

Outside of work, Jarrad enjoys spending time with his young family. He loves being a dad and makes it a priority to get outdoors with his family, going camping, visiting caravan parks, and showing his kids the world. When time allows, he likes to fish—though family time always comes first.

Stacey Lee joined Stretchy Tech in August 2021 as a Smart Device Specialist, bringing her passion for technology to the team.

Stacey applies her tech skills to make a meaningful contribution by helping people improve their independence and achieve their personal and professional goals.

As a Smart Device Specialist, Stacey's scope of work covers a broad range of technologies, including computer hardware and software, mobile apps, various 'tech gadgets', and installation of smart home automation. She enjoys teaching clients how to use devices hands-free and in various ways, with a strong focus on voice control and programming custom home device automation for everyday convenience.

Stacey thrives on solving "real-life puzzles" and is always eager to learn about new technologies and their applications. She loves that her work makes life easier for people, helping them become more active and involved in their communities.

When describing the team at Stretchy Tech, Stacey says "they are a bunch of really awesome, caring people with a shared vision to turn creative ideas into solutions and support each other on the journey to helping others". With a deep knowledge of what is currently possible, coupled with a desire to push the boundaries and test new approaches, Stacey feels the team is often finding new solutions using trusted software and products.

A highlight of her career was delivering “Connect with Tech” workshops across South Australian regional locations, where she shared vital tech knowledge and safety tips with local communities.

Outside work, Stacey is an adventurer at heart. She loves to travel to tropical destinations, plays guitar, surfs, and enjoys experimenting with her "personal tech lab" at home. When relaxing, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her miniature pinscher, Marley.

Holly joined the Stretchy Tech team in September 2024, bringing with her a background in sociology and a strong desire to work in an inclusive, values-driven organisation. She was drawn to Stretchy Tech for its person-first approach and commitment to creating accessible, supportive solutions for people with disability - an environment where her skills and passions could truly align.

As Administration Officer, Holly is often the first point of contact for customers, playing a key role in guiding them through each step of their Stretchy Tech journey. Whether she’s managing enquiries, coordinating schedules, or processing records to support our occupational therapists and technicians, Holly ensures that each customer experience is smooth, supportive, and well-informed. It’s a role that keeps her across all aspects of Stretchy Tech’s work, and one that makes a real difference.

One of Holly’s favourite things about working at Stretchy Tech is the team culture. She values being part of a group that genuinely cares - not just about the work, but about the people they’re doing it for. “There’s a shared commitment to meaningful support,” she says, “and that’s what makes it so rewarding.”

Outside of work, Holly loves reading literary fiction, watching films, and discovering new music (especially live). She’s also learning Spanish, and always makes time to catch up with friends.
